Scott A. Garner, M.D.
Dr. Garner specializes in the treatment of venous problems, both cosmetic and therapeutic. He is the Medical Director of our VeinSolutions™ office. Dr. Garner joined our group in 1993. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After completing his General Surgery Residency at the University of Iowa Hospital, he entered his Vascular Surgery Fellowship training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Garner is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Venous Forum, Midwest Vascular Surgery Society, and the Society for Vascular Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Garner has a law degree from Michigan State University, and is a member of the Michigan Bar.
Robert G. Molnar, M.D.
Dr. Molnar joined our group in 1998. Dr. Molnar is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University and Associate Program Director for the MSU General Surgery Program-Flint campus. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Ohio in Toledo. After completing his General Surgery Residency at Michigan State University, he entered Vascular Fellowship training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He is board certified in Vascular Surgery. Skilled in endovascular procedures, Dr. Molnar is one of the nation’s most experienced vascular surgeons in carotid artery stenting and he has a strong clinical interest in the comprehensive management of peripheral vascular disease and hemodialysis access.
Nitin G. Malhotra, M.D.
Dr. Malhotra joined our group in 2010. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. After completing his General Surgery Residency at Albany Medical Center in New York, he entered his Vascular Fellowship Training at the same institution. Dr. Malhotra is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon. Dr. Malhotra is a highly trained peripheral vascular surgeon in both open surgical repair and endovascular techniques. He brings additional expertise in the area of thoracic endografting.
Mark A. Mattos, M.D.
Dr. Mattos joined our group in May 2015. Dr. Mattos is the Program Director for the MSU/Michigan Vascular Center Fellowship program. He completed his medical degree from the University of Utah. He completed his Internship followed by his General Surgery Residency at the University of Iowa. Dr. Mattos then completed his Vascular Fellowship Trainng at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. He has had extensive experience in surgical education throughout his career and has been at the forefront of the newly evolving area of vascular simulation training. Trained in both open and endovascular surgery, Dr. Mattos is a much sought after speaker and educator nationally.
Christopher J. Goltz, M.D.
Dr. Goltz joined our group in August 2015. Dr. Goltz is the Associate Program Director of the MSU/Michigan Vascular fellowship Program. He completed his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Goltz remained there and went on to complete his General Surgery Residency where he became interested in Vascular Surgery. He completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Goltz is highly trained in endovascular techniques. He has a special interest in learning and employing the very latest minimally invasive endovascular technologies.
Ranjith Dodla, M.D.
Dr. Dodla joined our group in July 2016. He completed his General Surgery training at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York. He then completed a two-year Vascular Fellowship program at North Shore LIJ Health System (now Northwell Health) in Great Neck, New York. He was the recipient of the prestigious “Fellow Teacher of the Year” award during his Fellowship training. Dr. Dodla has special interest in complex “Hybrid Debranching” technique for the management of complex aneurysms. This technique is a unique combination of both open and endovascular approaches for patients who are not candidates for endovascular and are high risk for traditional open surgery. He is also experienced in management of descending thoracic dissection.

Alison Kinning, M.D.
Dr. Alison Kinning received her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. She completed her Vascular Surgery Residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH in 2018 and returned home to join the practice.
Jennifer Baker, M.D.
Dr. Jennifer Baker joined Michigan Vascular Center in 2020 after completing a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Ohio State University. She is board certified in general surgery after completing her program at the University Of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine. Her medical doctorate is from the University of Toledo and she has Master’s Degrees in Biomedical Science and Health Care Management.
Bara Zuhaili, M.D.
Dr. Zuhaili completed his medical doctorate at Damascus Medical School then spent his residency in Berkshire Medical Center. His vascular Fellowship was completed at Michigan Vascular Center. Dr. Zuhaili moved to Baltimore and began practice at John’s Hopkins after fellowship. In 2020 he returned to Michigan to join our practice. His interests include teaching and research, however, his passion is in improving community health. He has done multiple projects aimed at reducing overall population risk related to smoking, vaping and lifestyle.
Joseph M. Jacot, PA-C
Joe is a University of Michigan alumnus who originally joined Michigan Vascular Center in 2000 as a Vascular Technologist. He then returned to school for a graduate degree in the Physician Assistant program at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Joe’s expertise is in cardiovascular medicine and education. He provides important continuity of care for patients between the operating room, through the post-operative period and in the office.
Ken Eick, CP
Ken became a certified prosthetist in 1990, bringing many years of experience to the table. He was one of the first to integrate micro-processing knee systems and Helix hip joint as standard of care in Michigan. Ken also has experience in elevated vacuum brimless sockets and holds a multitude of manufacturers certifications. In addition, he coordinates and teaches educational programs throughout Michigan to both physical therapists and physicians.
Amanda Cook, NP
Amanda joined Michigan Vascular in 2009 as a registered nurse after receiving her Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University. Amanda was instrumental in launching our Saginaw campus and managed that office for five years. She then completed her Masters degree in Adult Gerontology and certified as a nurse practitioner from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2018.
Alison Sesock, NP
Alison received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University and practiced as a RN throughout Michigan. She then pursued her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan. Alison is board certified in Acute Adult Gerontology and her main interests include dialysis access maintenance.
Kristin Desrochers, NP
Kristin received her Registered Nursing degree from Mott Community College in 2012. She later returned to school obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from South University in 2016. Kristin then graduated with honors from South University with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She joined our group in 2018 upon graduation. Kristin has had additional education and a special interest in Medication Assisted treatment for Opioid Dependence.
Danielle Rose, PA-C
Danielle joined Michigan Vascular Center in 2019 after working for 2 years in Bronson hospital. She completed her bachelors degree from The University of Michigan and then completed her Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant from Western Michigan University. Her interests include assisting in the operating room and performing out-patient procedures in our access offices.
Aubrey Kovach, PA-C
Aubrey joined our practice in 2020 after completing her physician assistant program at Wayne State University in 2019. Prior to her PA training, she received her bachelor’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University. Aubrey brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience in primary and urgent care as well as her previous vascular surgery training in 2018.
Sarah Baur, PA-C
Sarah joined Michigan Vascular in 2022 after completing her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies at Trine University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University where she studied kinesiology and psychology. Prior to PA school she had experiences in neurosurgery and cardiology as a patient care technician. She has a special interest in aneurysms and preventative health.
