Michigan Vascular Faculty Fellowship Presentations

Faculty Fellows, Vascular Surgery Fellows, General Surgery Residents, and Medical Students at Michigan Vascular Center have the opportunity to conduct independent research and share their findings with their academic and professional colleagues through oral presentations.

Our fellows, residents, and students travel across the nation to attend seminars, meetings, and more to share their research and gain knowledge from others.

What is a Vascular Fellow?

“Fellow” is the term used for a physician in advanced, specialized training. To become a vascular surgeon, medical school graduates must take additional training, including a general surgery residency, and be accepted into a vascular fellowship program. Graduates have completed an additional seven years of surgical training. There are only about 100 vascular fellowship programs in the nation, typically producing one, sometimes two, vascular surgeons per year.

Learn more about our fellowship program on our information page.
